central and north alabama 7's
I posted this on the southeast forum but I am afraid some people might have missed it.
Would anyone be interested to go on a cruise thru Little River Canyon, Desoto Park, Desoto Falls, and Mentone. The cruise will be about 68 miles +/-. In summary, the drive will run along the edge of Little River Canyon with many great spots to park and view the canyon lookoff and water fall. Great picture opportunities also. From there the cruise will proceed to Desoto State Park to re-group and then to Desoto Falls which is very beautiful this time of year. Once we leave the the falls we will head towards Mentone. We plan to eat a restuarant there once we determine the number of folks interested in going.
---Hopefully the leaves will still be in full color.
The cruise is being organized to be in conjunction with a group from the Corvette forum. This will be a great trip if you enjoy scenic road tours and the colors of Fall. Please respond and if enough people are interested I will get the complete information on the trip (meeting time etc.) and pass it along to you.
This will be the first time for this cruise so it will not be the polished event we hope to make it, at first.

THis weekend - Le Mans
Nov 7th weekend - Little Talledega, drags...

Hey, well take anyone who wants to come. We are planning on sat. nov. 2nd. I know there will be a good response from the vette forum, those guys do cruises all the time. I would like to see a ton of 7's show up.
Parts of the road are a little rough but much of the trip will be on smooth blacktop. There won't be much of a chance to open your car up just mostly slow cruising in hopefully a long line of cars. Thought we would try it for the first time this year and try to fine tune it more for next year. Little river canyon is a really cool place. My wife and I are taking my newly acquired 89 vert. Its bone stock and unfortunately an automatic but that also makes it great for cruising. Also rides much better than my 87 with its modded suspension.
Anyway, if you guys are interested, just reply and we'll get plans finalized in the coming days.

yeah, i drive my friends 2000 last friday night. 385 hp stock. Oh how i need a turbo! the car hooks up so well it is scary fast. we were doing 95 in sixth and running only 1500 rpms! He is a member of corvette bham so there will be many vettes there from mid years up to new c5's.
He loves rx7's and says several folks on the vette forum own fd's.

Thanks Felix! I forgot you had those. I'm rethinking that ten dollar pricetag, though
Anyone interested can pm me.
try to imagine it with the polished stock '88 wheels instead of the black ones.
