Has anyone got a 91 cd player to work in a 88 rx7?

 

i believe this is the wrong section to ask for that??

 

for what it's worth, i don't see why you couldn't, although the cd units made for the s5 are pretty obsolete now and skip a lot. You'll be lucky if you even get the player to work at all this day and age. The bin is the same size so just match up the wires an you should be in business.

 

just get an aftermarket, so much better and easy as hell to install

 

The 91 CD player can be made to work with a S4 , but would require the 91's harness/plugs.

But as people have already mentioned, it was a crappy unit back in the day, well alone 15 years later.

 

Just don't buy an Aiwa.
