hey what cca do you guys use? my battery seems to not have enough juice to turn it on.. i'm currently on cca525 i don't know if thats to low. when you crank it you hear my car wanting to turn on but it just doesnt.. most of the times you have to jump it. its a 1987 n/a

 

it also reads at like 12.2 or so volts with it just sitting there

 

anything over 400 CCA is fine for a FC

Volts are a little low though. It should be at 12.6 volts at dead off.

What is the voltage when the car is running? It should be above 13.5 volts in order to charge the battery

 

Also check the voltage when you turn the key. It should be 10V and not any lower. Otherwise it means the battery is weak or bad. You can have any auto store test it for free.

 

when i turn the key it says 10v but then when i crank it ... theres not enough juice .. its strange and i havnt had it turn on i tried jumping it and still nothing for some reason
