Catalytic Converter Stud

One of the studs on my catalytic converter is bent and I was wondering if it was possible to replace it without retapping it? Mazdatrix has a stud for converters that is for sale but I just wanted to make sure I could use it before buying it.

1. you could put a couple nuts on it and try bending it back with a hammer
2. use the same nuts to take it out and just use part of a bolt from hardware store or whatev
3. drill it oversized and just put a bolt through it

tapping isn't hard and you shouldn't need to unless you completely destroy the threads...
