catalytic converter
First of all, I know there is a problem with my cat. I can smell something like sulfur every once in a while, plus my car got really loud and shitty sounding just recently. I think it's cracked maybe. But my question is that if my cat or other exhaust parts are cracked or leaking could that cause:
1. Bad gas mileage
2. Poor acceleration at highway speeds
3. Boost bounce once peak boost is hit
4. Shitty idle
Any help appreciated

Punch those cats out. You will notice a difference. I did it a week back on my '89 TII. Highway acceleration is very strong now. Gas mileage went way up. Before I did this I was only boosting about .2bar, now I'm at around .6bar. As far as your other issues I don't know.

Yes it is.But if you put em back on for smog testing, and don't runa really loud exhaust, who is gonna catch you?You just gotta make sure you have working ones to pass emissions.

a tip
Heres a tip for everyone, if your cats are messed up they can cause alot of other problems, especially poor acceleration, bad gas mileage, & ruff idle. I messed mine up not on my Rx7 but another car & it messed alot of **** up. If you think they are messed up u should do something about it, Clean them out, get new ones, something.
