Cat removal - Help!

Please i need advice!

I will remove my main cat and pre cat and put on custom made resonated pipe (100mmm outer inox, iner 65mm mesh filed with stainles stell wool). I would put on RB downpipe but it is to expensiv 2.5 times more due to customs, shiping, tax..

I will put in one piece which i will conect to pipe leading to engine (will my AUX ports open corect or not)

I will eliminate the pipe going to cat back (will this efect my performance)

Will this resonated pipe make my car more louder since i do not want that (cops are pain in the *** here and giving ticket of 750$ if car is to loud).

Please i need info!!

What year is your car? S4's aux ports open from back pressure from the exhaust, S5's use the air pump.

This setup will make your car a lot louder. I have a similiar setup and when my gf borrows my car I can hear her coming a block away. You'll need to rig your ports open if you ever want your high end power again or take them out all together. You'll lose a considerable amount of power below 4,000 rpm (say 10-20 depending on how healthy your engine is) and will make your car lose 5-7 mpg around town. It's not as bad on the freeway, though.

There is an alternative as racing beat makes a header with a bung welded in to replicate the effect produced by the split air pipe coming in from the main catylitic converter which should open up your secondary ports. Although, a new header will make your car a lot louder as well. Maybe your exhaust guy can replicate the effect as well.
