castor?

Hi! I am gonna try to get my alignment done tomorrow.
But the last time I had my rx in the shop for an alignment they said that 3 out of 4 sides, the castor was off.. I had never heard of castor until this moment.
This was at Expert Tire which is also a firestone joint which I didn't realize until they were putting on my new tires. I personally think Firestone is the devil so I didn't trust them, and I got a bad feeling from the guys at the shop...
But anyway, from my understaning the only way the castor can get disturbed is from damage right? I.e a car accident or curbing/pothole. From what I have read this is a very hard thing to damage. So... could the previous owner of my rx really have screwed things up that bad on three corners!!??? Or was firestone yanking my chain.
I would love any feedback before I go to a different place tomorrow.
Thanx!

first off, alignments are underpriced. the machine itself (the big nice ones) i believe can cost about $10.000 (if i'm off on the price, sue me). they make their money with extra labor and selling parts. just know that.
as for caster, it would do you good to look up the definition, but i would say its a sort of pivot point/position. look at the rollers on your chair or on your shop creeper. the bolt is almost all the way to one side, not centered. its confusing as hell and i cant explain it. the end.

Caster.
A wheel on a swivel, attached under a piece of furniture or other heavy object to make it easier to move. (The dictionary came up with this definition, not us.)

-- -- -- -- --

Caster:
Caster is the tilting of the uppermost point of the steering axis either forward or backward (when viewed from the side of the vehicle). A backward tilt is positive (+) and a forward tilt is negative (-). Caster influences directional control of the steering but does not affect the tire wear and is not adjustable on this vehicle. Caster is affected by the vehicle height, therefore it is important to keep the body at its designed height. Overloading the vehicle or a weak or sagging rear spring will affect caster.

When the rear of the vehicle is lower than its designated trim height, the front suspension moves to a more positive caster. If the rear of the vehicle is higher than its designated trim height, the front suspension moves to a less positive caster. With too little positive caster, steering may be touchy at high speed and wheel returnability may be diminished when coming out of a turn. If one wheel has more positive caster than the other, that wheel will pull toward the center of the vehicle. This condition will cause the vehicle to pull or lead to the side with the least amount of positive caster.
