carpet removal

recently picked up 86 rx7 that had sat in previous owners back yard , mice moved in for that period of time. Am wanting to remove carpeting to have cleaned, have taken out about every thing but dash . My question is this necessary to remove dash to remove carpeting without cutting under the console. or even worth while doing.

you gotta remove the dash...the carpet sits underneath it..there are only like 8 bolts, not too hard.

You can get the carpet out without pulling the dash. But..chances are, if the mice were in the interior, they probably nested in the dash.

Nonetheless, to get the carpet out without pulling the dash..you just work it around and pull a whole lot. Eventually the clips will come undone.

Still..pulling the dash isn't very hard at all

If you're taking the carpet out why not take the dash out and inspect everything...if there were mice in there, like adrock suggested, you'll wanna know if they nibbled any wires.

Besides, the carpet in my '87 n/a had glued itself to the body and was damn near impossible to get out with the dash out, let a lone leaving it in.
