I HAVE a carbon fibre sunroof, I got sick of the old ones rusting out all the time. Its still in the garage at the moment awaitin completion, I never have enough time to do anything. I made it from the old sunroof, I covered it in really tight gladwrap and put i layer of cloth over it just to get the shape then i trimmed it and *carefully* removed it from the old one and built the strength from the inside. it fits fine, Its secured with blocks of thin plastic stuff fiberglassed onto it and jus uses screws through the rails but in goin to try make a better version with nuts mounted in the carbon fibre.
I'll get sum pics up when i figure out y my cam isnt workin.

So this CF Sunroof would replace our stock metal one correct?
Will it still be able to move up and back as my power sunroof does right now? Cause if it just a replacement for the piece of metal i have no then Ill probably buy one as well.

I think that a good idea for a future project would be just the sunroof panel. That way people could have a non operational panel to eliminate the sunroof alltogether.. This would also save weight.

I've super interested in a CF sunroof, but I'm not willing to get in at the ground floor. I'm going to need proof that everything was 100% and find out exactly what I need to do to fit it, etc.

YEa same here. keep us updated. I guess since this thread has made 2 pages in less then a day, i'd say there is a slight demand. So i guess it would be a wise investment to start the molds.
