Carbon fiber hood

I want to go with a turbo 2 style hood, just carbon fiber since my hood is pretty dinged up and im going to be having the car painted soon.

Any preferred brands, any fitment issues anyone has run into?

I think the two hoods i have seen are VIS and Carbon creations.

seems kinda pricey for a used hood, didn't they sell for about just $40 more than that.

If this thing is perfect it sounds worth it, but it almost sounds too god to be true that the sun hasn't taken any toll on it and that it doesn't have any scratches or cracks.

When I bought it from fc3s.org, they were made by Fiber Images. The hood plus shipping was $732. The hood may be used, but it has no damage and it 99% perfect condition. Its sits indoors most the time I've had it with the car. $500 sounds fair to me but if you will take it for $475 thats fine with me. I just need the $$$ for my new TII and some tuning. It has absolutely no cracks. The gel coat has protected the hood very well. I have not noticed any fading of any sorts on the hood. I have always kept it clean do to its expensive nature.

If you can get me some good pictures and a shipping quote that is reasonable I should be able to come up with the funds by next Friday. It sounds like you have taken very good care of it.

A ViS tii hood might be hard to get right now. I ordered mine from illstreet.com (best price I could find by far) back in early June and since ViS is out of stock ithas to be made and then shipped over. I dont think they expect to have it here until early August.

Well since the TII showed up late today, we didnt get the hood on till after dark. Seems like I'm gonna have to adjust a bit. Didnt fit aswell as the n/a off the bat. btw TII = very fast and fun.
