Go for a long drive on the express way, it gets the engine hot which helps get rid of carbon. I drove four hours to visit a friend when I first got my rex and after that it was faster and felt a lot better.

Take your car on the interstate filled with some premiuim gas, and run it about 80 mph for about 20 minutes, should burn off alot of it.

The induction fuel system cleaning offered by service stations helped my car a lot when I first got it. Other than that I recommend pouring a few ounces of MMO thru the leading spark plug holes or any suitable vaccum port on the tb. Bump the motor a few times to distribute it and let it soak overnight. Then start it and watch it smoke up the neighborhood and go for a "spirited" drive.
