Carb'ing a GXL..

I'll be picking up a an S4 GXL in a few days for my lil brother, it's an auto, so that'll be swapped first but it's also missing most of the intake tract including the AFM and other misc parts... so the decision to go carb has been made. I currently own an 81 GSL widebody with a SP 12a and soon to be turbo blo-thru, so I'm very comfortable dealing with carbs. My real concern here is regarding ignition... will I still be able to use the CAS or will I need to scrounge up a dizzy? Also for those that have done the carb swap... what was done about the in-tank pump? I know I'll be running an external but wondering how to set-up fuel delivery... do i disable the in-tank and let the external siphon through? Or will i need to fab up some sort of pick-up in the tank? Where should I mount the pump AS how there are no convenient "frame-rails" on FC's. Thanks for the help guys..

not too many people go carb, but you can do a search...

but you will need to electronically control the CAS with something. better to go with a distributor

Not a great idea IMHO. Maybe for 1st gens, but not 2nd.

fuel injection > carb
