carb question

I was wondering what different types of carb setups people have put on their fc other than racing beat. Did you like the setup, notice power difference, etc.? I also am thinking about adding nos along with the carb setup. Has anyone done this? If so, could you show pics.

warning, you will not get a lot of positive responses about a carb on fc. People here are big fans of standalone FI, not too many carb people in the 2nd gen forum. Talk to first gen guys or mazspeed.com, they have lots of carb info. Plus do a search, there is still lots of info here.

i really don't know why they are frowned upon. I think some people may have had a bad experience, but for the majority I don't even think have any experience with carbs. When talikng to people with carbed rotaries, they rave about them. I can't afford a upgraded FI system, atleast the one I want, so I am throwing on a Holley 600cfm with racing beat manifold. I cant wait to see how it runs. Just need some more parts.

Sorry for thread jacking

The car is already set up for EFI, which is far superior to carburetion. Assuming that everything works on the stock engine, the Microtech LT8 EFI is about the same price as the Racing Beat Holley carb kit. The LT8 isn't exactly my favorite EMS, but it is better than any carb IMO.

Also, see our Rotary Performance forum, and our Race Car Tech forum. There may be some good info in the Race Car Tech forum, as racing rules sometimes do not allow EFI because it is an unfair advantage.

Yes, bad experience. I have worked with carbs for 17 years, and I hate them more each time a new standalone EMS hits the market with better features and a lower price.
