Carb on 13B using 12A stuff?

Hey guys,
Just a simple question, will the 12A carb stuff fit on a 87 13BT motor? Wait, there were early carbed 13Bs weren't there, GSLs?

Anyway, I just need a simple solution to get my car mobile for a couple of months before I do a full rebuild. But I don't want to buy expensive aftermarket parts just for that. Therefore, anything I can grab from a junkyard would be best:-)
Thanks,
Owen

Sure. Mazdatrix sells an adapter to mount the 12A manifold to the longer 13B. Remember you will also need to swap the 12A ignition system in place, convert to a low pressure fuel system, wire it all, adapt the throttle body, etc. etc.

There were plenty of earlier 13Bs with carbs but all 13B 1st gens were EFI.

Seems like a lot more trouble then it's worth if you just want to get the car mobile...

You should goto the 1st gen section. I did the 13b swap from a 12a swap in my 1st gen I use to own. It was carburated, I think the 13b came out of a 85 gsl-se from my understanding. It was so long ago I dont remeber, but its possible.

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I've seen the Mazdatrix adapter, nice piece, but too expensive for a temporary solution. I guess I could just weld up my own adapter, I'm not worried about performance or mileage or anything, I just want it mobile!
I'll check out the 1st gen section too, as I don't know a damn thing about carbs:-)
