Alright, my buddies 86 gxl n/a wont start. its got 76k miles only. But yeah to the point. The engine wont start all the way. It will start turning over and start for maybe a split second, but wont keep running.. Its very frustrating lol. We checked all the sparks and wires and such. But havnt done that FAQ, pulling out chip thingy yet. So ill do that in like an hour. But do you think that the engine is flooded, maybe need new fuel injectors?

Any help or suggestions will help a lot. Thanks.

Start with the unflood procedure. Consider escalating to ATF/MMO.

When they started my '88 GXL before I bought it they had to first spray almost a can of starter into the intake. It reeked and I thought it was going to blow up, but eventually it kept.

This was after they replaced my spark plugs because the first set were fouled.

If you do the unflood procedure and it smells like gasoline, I'd guess the injectors are giving enough fuel to at least run it. The injectors tend to leak as they fail, not block as much.
