Car won't start, even after unflooding procedure.

The other day I went to start my car and it started for a second then died. I tried to start it again with a little gas and it started for a second but sounded like it was gargling and died. I was pretty sure I flooded it and it was dark so I went inside, it rained for two more days so I didn't get a chance to work on it. I went today and did the unflooding procedure twice and the plugs were covered I used a set of decently new plugs (the ceramic was still white) and it doesn't start. It cranks but it's like there's no spark. The plug wires are the Accel 8mm and only have at the most 10K on them. Maybe I just need completely new plugs. Anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks.

Determine if you are not getting spark, or not getting fuel. That is a good starting point. Raw gas in a rotary is not a particularly good idea as normally oil is injected into the fuel to lube the apex seals.

Pull the plugs out clean them with carb cleaner. Then with out the the plugs turn the engine over untill you see no gas mist coming out. Make sure you pull the egr fuse and the and the plug off the cas. Then put the plugs in and put the fuse and plug and it should start dont stop cranking untill it starts. Hope this helps

Follow above procedure, plus, squirt a bit of clean engine oil in the spark plug holes. It will help soak up an excess fuel and help build compression.

Thanks guys I did all of that, minus the engine oil (I'll have to try that.) Just ordered some new NGKs tonight hopefully the parts store will have them tomorrow.
