car wont start!!!!
alright i first was having fuel pump problems. i wasn't getting power to it but i fixed that. now when i crank it over, thats all it does is crank. it wont start. every now and then it acts like it wants to but it wont and then the battery dies. i think the timing may be off anyway. just because the kid that had it before me had the engine all apart and **** and i'm not sure if he put it back together correctly. if the timing is way out of whack would it cause this to happen?? if not does anyone have any other suggestions of what it might be?

Have you checked your plugs?
Could be flooded which is an easy fix but could start with that first. Just have to pull the EGI INJ fuse (under the hood on driver side)....hold down the gas pedal and crank for about 10-15sec. Might have to do it multiple times but can clear a flooding problem.
There is a second method if that doesnt work as well.
Do everything from step one but instead pull out your spark plugs as well to blow some of the access fuel out of the engine.

yeah the plugs are good and they're getting plenty of spark. i pulled them out and cranked it over and they were doing good. at first i thought it was flooded but then i talked to the kid that had it before me and said it was doing the same thing for him. neither one of us can figure it out. so i was just thinking it was the timing or maybe the fuel pump strainer dealy could be clogged up but i doubt thats it
