Car wont start !!!!
Hey guys,
I've Been reading up on symptoms for a hard 2 start car. i 1st thought it was the afm, becuase it was making a flapping noise when i started the car. it seems to be ok. then i changed all4 spark plugs, and still no start.
i seem to hear the engine turning but no other noise. Maybe no fuel
. I took out the fuel pump and changed the small filter (strainer) that was on there. it was quite dirty. Could it be the fuel pump is now bad or sumthing else?
Thanks for the help.

if the engine is flooding you will smell the gas. make sure you are getting a spark. the spark plugs may not be the problem. it could be your coils. and make sure the fuel pump and filter is good.
Basics!
in any order, make sure you have all three
Spark - very simple to check
Fuel - remove the rear of the two hoses at the engine under the oil cap. I usually take about three feet of hose and connect it to the metal end and place it in a gas can. then, turn the key on. this is the return side the flow should be good and steady. Be sure to give it atleast 10 seconds
Compression - If you have both fuel and spark, make sure you have compression next.
Search for unflooding or ATF trick as well
hope this helps
