car wont start

Ok guys I have an 86 and the engine was rebuilt a few months back the car was running, I took it for a drive and a wash when i got to the car wash the car just died. I am thinking it’s a fuel issue I checked the fuse under the dash and the main fuse, I have a kill switch for the fuel pump I tried the bypass yellow plug and the car turn on for a minute but then it died, now I tried to do it again and it won’t start what do you guys think I should check please help I need to get it running because I have to do an inspection or I would have to move it from my apartment.

Did it die while it was running?

Did it run, then you shut it off, then it wouldn't start again?

When you jumper the fuel pump connector and turn the fuel cut switch on, does the fuel pump turn on?

Are you sure it's not flooded?
