Car won't idle....

Hey fellas, and possibly ladies....i've got a problem that you guys could help me with hopefully, i've got a weber carbed 13b and it takes a lil while to start, but once it's started it won't hold an idle the only way it stays alive is if i give it gas, but if the rpms drop too low it's done....and won't fire back up....is this because it's getting too much fuel and it's flooding out or what? Any suggestions or anything....i hope you guys can help me pull this one off.......thanx

try leaning out the idle mixture screws, you may also have some gunked up jets. how long since the carb has been overhauled?

What's overhauled mean? The engine has about 3000 miles on it.....it's just been rebuilt and it's been iding fine until the day before yesterday, it seems like since it's gotten a little cold it's not been running right.....but yea, i don't know what overhauled means....

Okay, i turned up the idle on it, now it's idling fine.....but it's still taking forever to start.....it acts like it's just about to turn over, but then it goes right back to sounding like it's not going to start.....does anyone know anything that i can do?
