K, so, I was going to move my car to install the Microtech, but, I need to jump it. No problem, right? Right. But, then, when I take the cables off, it will just die. Even if I keep on the gas. Is it because my battery sucks and is dead? Why is it doing this? I want my damn standalone in. Thanks.

go to a local auto parts store and check to see if the alternator is dead, probably is, it could also be your battery, battery arnt hard to replace, if your alternator is dead dont get a bosch one from discount auto or somethign like that, theres alot of stories of them being broken when you get them, if you do go this way though get it checked before you leave the store
what you should do though is if your alternator dies just try and find someone on this forum that would sell you a alternator from an FD...im going this direction when my alternator goes
