Car will not start, but turns over

Slid my RX7 into a ditch tonight and after getting towed out and inspecting it and finding no damage,i got back in the car and went to start it up. All the lights work and everything and you turn the key and it turns over....and over, and over and over, but refuses to start. The outside temp was about -25c but it started with no problem before I went out for the drive. There is nothing visually wrong with the car. It' just a base model S4 13B.

Any ideas why it won't run? If it turns over,it should start. I can't figure it out. Plus it was too cold for me to stay outside and fiddle with it.

Thanks guys.

The car was sitting in the ditch on the left hand side of the road with the nose buried in snow and had snow up to the bottom of the window on the driver's side and the rear wheel was sticking up in the air. Could the position the car was sitting in possibly have flooded the motor?

yeah i'd say it's flooded, that is if the engine or any engine parts aren't damaged. pull the spark plugs then pull the 2 fuses under the hood on the far left ( if you're standing at the front and looking toward the winshield) egi comp and injectors i think is the name of the 2 fuses. crank the motor over with the throttle wide open to get the excess gas out. might take a minute or so. then put the spark plugs back in and it should fire up.

Your car is probably well flooded.
Normally when you kill the engine in a spinout or a wreck like that, it would take some good amount of cranking to get any car started again.

use the unflooding technique using motor oil.
