Angry Car will not engage in any gear? please help.

ok this pisses me off. I drove my car all day (87, TII), and it drove awesome. No ginds, no farts, just awesome. I go to work and park it, come out and the thing will not move into any gear. It's almost like i am trying to push the shifter into gear without the clutch in (but it is in.) When i finally got it in gear, it would making "clinking" noises then enventually just leap forward and stall. Tried shifting into reverse at a stop light, and it just grinded away (like when you try to engage reverse when car is moving foward)
I know this has to be clutch related, but I can't figure out what it would be about it. They guy i bought teh car off of said he just changed the clutch. Could they have bled it wrong?

Thank you for any help

Ryan

could be your clutch hydraulics have failed. Get someone to push the pedal in and inspect the movement, if the slave cylinder isn't moving, or is moving a very limited ammount (say an inch at most) then chances are your hydraulics are bad (typical)

If the slave pushes the clutch in the full amount and doesnt creep back out, then you probably broke your clutch fork.

IIRC Santiago was saying Nopi had really cheap hydrolic parts. http://www.nopionline.com

Edit:

621+0233 TOKICO Clutch Master Cylinder, ALL Mdls. (inc Turbo) $30.59
625+0230 TOKICO Clutch Slave Cylinder, ALL non-Turbo Mdls. $17.98
625+0231 TOKICO Clutch Slave Cylinder, ALL Turbo Mdls. $21.06

Replace them both at the same time.

And while you're at it you can go with a stainless clutch hose, think they're like $20 at corksport.com, might as well go all out
