BC car wants to die on acceleration...wtf?!

I'm lost...

When I bought my s4 vert last year, she ran just fine around the parking lot. She's been in the garage for a year now. I insured her for the day to go for an emissions test but she keeps stalling and wanting to die on acceleration.

Things I've changed:

coolant
oil
spark plugs
replaced FPD with Marren FPD
air filter
brake MC
brake booster

I fiddled with the TPS and variable resistor. She starts, warms up, and idles just fine. But I can't even go a block before she wants to die on acceleration. I can move her around if I keep the rpms up and ride the clutch...but if I drive her normally, she just wants to die. WHen the problems start it feels like a rough idle mixed in with some misfiring. If I restart the car and keep the revs up high, I can ride the clutch home.

any guesses? I'm thinking clogged fuel line/timing is off or its a blown engine...I dunno. any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

sounds like your not getting enough fuel, replace your fuel filter and check your pump and injectors

This happened to me. I changed the fuel filter (underneath the car by the trans on the driver's side) + whamo! Problem solved. I actually had chunks of rust fall when I changed it too. Gross...

thanks guys. I replaced the fuel filter. She ran pretty smooth. I adjusted the timing perfectly and got a good idle. I warmed her up real good and then shut her off. As soon as I shut her off, I restarted her, idle was rough again - actually, she died and then wouldn't start. I give up. She's booked for a tow at 930 tomorrow to a rotary guru.
