Exclamation Intake gasket problem

I am talking to guy in florida about buying his TII.

Problems:

He says that the intake manifold gasket is bad so its leaking air (losing boost or something like that) and has a bad idle. He says its easy to fix he just hasn't had the time....

It also has NA rotors (I'll find out more about that on later tonight) .....Bad or good. I am looking to make no more than 250hp so yeah.

We are doing a trade. He lives in florida I live in Virginia. What cost/time effective way to make the trade.

Thanx for the help. I will get more info on the car later so I give the you guys an update.

Intake manifold gasket is very easy. Buy a haynes manual if you don't know what your doing.

Not sure about the NA rotors

NA rotors are higher compression. They will make more power on less boost (basically...) and provide better turbo response. But are more difficult to tune due to increased risk of detonation.

Would a intake gasket leak cause that problem?

It could cause that problem yes, as could a vacuum leak

The NA rotors would mean you would have to run a lower boost (<10 usually), so if your planning to upgrade to a bigger turbo anytime soon and run high boost forget about it..

s4 t2 rotors are the shizzle cuz you can run high amounts of boost, since the guy put s4 na rotors in the car, it leads me to believe that he probably didn't know what he was doing, so I would be weary of that car. or go over it with a fine tooth comb.

The builder either knows just enough to be dangerous, or he's a genius.
We have both in Florida.
If he can't fix an intake leak, I suspect the former.
