Car still starting then stalling...

I spent the whole day trying to figure out what was making my car start, rev up and then stall itself. I checked to see if the fuel filter was clogged. It was not. Checked spart from coils, plugs, everything is good. Like I said the car starts fine idles ok (little high) then kills itself like its not getting enough fuel or air. If anyone have experienced this let me know thanks. -Evan

Hold the AFM door flapper/plunger open slightly and have someone try to start the car, if you can keep it running by holding it open you've got a vac leak somewhere.

Ya you guys are on the same path as me, the car started acting up it seemed like after I messed with the AFM.

I actually went inside the AFM and made sure all the connections were good. It seemed there was some damage in there (I pulled the plug out wrong).

So if I take the airbox off the car idles weird but stays idled. When I put some gas into it, it stalls.

But when I put the airbox/AFM back on, it idles strong but then it stalls itself.

Could there be any fuel problem involved? Id like to get the thing back on the road. Ill look at the AFM again in the morning. Thanks again -Evan

Mine did that when I had a vacuum / intake leak. Try that.

ok If I take the AFM off shouldn't it stay idle? the AFM isn't telling it to do anything because its not connected.

Is there any device that shuts the car down if the device is faulty? Man i should get rid of this thing.
