Car starts weird

As the title says, my 89 GTUs has been starting weird. When I turn the key it starts right away to about 2000 rpms but the engine sounds like its bogging down and wants to die. After letting it sit for about 10 seconds i hear backfiring multiple times and it kicks up to 4000rpms (with an abnormal amount of white smoke from the back) and drops to 1000 after about 5 seconds. The car runs normally when Im driving around. What could be the problem??

By the way, I replaced the injectors a month ago so it wouldnt be flooding injectors.........I hope...

No, no smoke while driving. Theres enough white smoke to block visibility in the back.

I thought white smoke usually indicated burning coolant... if it just does this at startup it sounds like you may have a coolant seal blown out that slowly leaks into your chambers so it's not noticeable while driving, but collects when it sits so it smokes real bad on startup. if you start it, let it stop smoking, stop it, then restart does it still smoke? you should also keep an eye on your coolant level.

When I shut the car off and start it back up again, it still smokes. Im not seeing any coolant level drop so it cant be the coolant leaking. I think the smoke is maybe from excessive fuel at start up but dont know why (replaced leaking injectors a month ago so it cant flooding).
