The car turns over, catches... I give it gas and rev it upto about 1500rpm then it cuts out on me!?
Im keeping my foot on the gas but after I rev it once or twice it just loses all power and stalls, no matter how much gas I give it... If I get my buddy to start the car and I open the "choke" it revs right up no problem....
why does this happen?

 

Maybe some more information would help.
The "choke" you refer to sounds like the secondary double throttle, but it's really hard to get to.
How are you opening it?
Is the IC removed?

 

sorry for calling it a "choke" but I dont know what else to call it... its the little cube right infront of the cold start bottle. It has a throttle cable going to it so I figure its used to open the secondary injectors... correct me if im wrong!

 

Cube...throttle cable...sounds like you're describing the cruise control unit.
