Car stalled out n wont start
So i was driving on the highway last night just cruising and when i tried to accelerate it wouldnt. It was like as if the throttle cable was disconnected. It stayed at the same rpm but i hit the gas and nothing happened. I floored the pedal n nothing so i pulled over to the side n as soon as i went to a full stop it died.
I then restarted it, it started n it would rev up again. So i started driving it again to make it home. i didnt gun it but just cruised n it seemed to be fine. When i took the exit to make a uturn it started doing the same thing. Hitting the pedal but rpms werent changing. Wouldnt rev n cut off n died on me. After that i wouldnt start again.
I havent had time to try and restart it this morning but i was thinking it could be a fuel problem. Its an s5 motor in an s4. Id just like to know if anyone has had this problem. I have spare coil packs, afm's, and fuel pumps. Just like to know other peoples insights. Im at work right now and cant check the car til later tonight.
Thanks

Have a similar thing on my S4 NA, random stall and no start or hard start after.
Its a strange thing when it simply stalls on highway, you dont notice it immediatly. Its getting slower and flooring the pedal doesnt help,
pushing in the clutch let the rpms drop and then you notice the engine stalled.
Deflooded that thing and everything works fine after. Check your plugs, wires and the other regular stuff.
Mine was just flooded, dont know why but it was flooded.

well it wasnt getting slower. it kept going at a steady rpm but pushing the pedal did nothing. like it was disconnected. dont think it flooded cause it started right up after the first stall. plugs n wires are new, tps replaced a few months ago, fuel filter last yr, trailing coils bout a yr ago.
Im thinkin its the fuel pump
