Exclamation Car pulls harder when accelerating with cruise control button!

Well, first off, sorry I havent been around much, school has been taking up ALL of my time...

But anyway, I'm driving on the highway, and I have it on cruise control, because I was tired and didnt want to deal with watching for cops, and anyway, i go to accelerate a bit by pushing the button, and it seems to pull harder than usual (this is in 5th at about 70mph)... so i did a little test, all seat of the pants... but every time, it seemed like the cruise control accelerate button was pushing me back harder in my seat than the either partial or full throttle with the gas petal.

Since its been raining since then i havent had time to go and open it up and see if there is something wrong with the trottle linkage. Assuming there isnt (or even if there is), what are things i should check?

And is there any difference in the way that the ecu handles gas petal throttle vs cruise control throttle?

The cuise control uses it's own throttle cable, so we SHOULD assume you're cable from the pedal is probably loose and not giving you full throttle. Although I did not program the ECU, there should not be any difference in efficiency with Cruise Control.

your driving habits can also play a factor too. the same thing happens to me when i drive the bmw and i know that i drive it to save gas at times. i would check the integrity of the gas pedal cable like theonlygreat mentioned.
