Car not starting after sitting for 3 days

I have a similar problem, The car has been running just fine, but I let it sit over the labor day weekend. Wasnt started for 3 days. When I turn it on, it reved to the 3k cold start mark then died. And when I try to restart it it revs up and dies right away. I tried just cranking it with the efi fuse out and then putting it back in, but the problem is still here. Any advice on what could go wrong after three days of sitting?

Its a 1989 NA btw

I have had that happen a few time but for different reasons. One my mass airflow censor got disconected(doesn't have anything to do with how long it sat). And besides fluding i would accidentally turn my fuel cut of switch on.

Stupid *** fuel-cut switch in the AFM was doing it to my '87 Turbo II when it sat for extended periods.
Try and jump the fuel pump jumper plug under the hood to see if this fixes your problem...
