car not giving power to fuel pump.

hello all, a couple months ago i rewired my fuel pump and followed the instructions on www.1300cc.com and it was runnig flawlessly now my 88 t2 is having electrical gremmlins , the main power wire from the wiring harness to the fuel pump is not getting any voltage. i have checked all fuses and looked over the wiring for pinches in the harness or wires and i have found nothing, i have been thinking about just bypassing that wire and hooking up an alternate switched 12 volt source to the fuel pump. i need some advice please help.

Have you got the fuel pump check connector jumpered when you're checking this? It won't have any power if you don't.

How did you first notice this problem? Problems driving? Does it run?

No, you connect the two terminals of the plug with a bit of wire. A good way is to crimp a male spade terminal on each end of a short bit of wire. They'll plug right in.
