Car not autoreving to 3000 anymore!

whats wrong guys? i know its supposed to rev up to 3000 and now it doesn't it turns on fine, revs fine, idles fine, is it just not cold enough? or whats the dilly

You really don't want it to do that anyway. I've never understood why Mazda designed it that way.

There are 2 ways I know that will do that.

Plug the hose that is coming from the elbow in your air intake. It will prevent any air from getting to the engine except through the throttle body. Doing this will keep it from revving up at all on start-up.

Start the car while in 1st gear. This prevents the 3k rpm startup, but it will still rev to about 2500.

Also, tapping the gas pedal while it's idling at 3k rpm will stop it.
