Sounds like the stock gauge or sending unit is broken. A little more info is needed.

Do you mean the gauge never moves at all? Or it moves up but not in the normal range? If it never moves at all, i think you are looking at either a faulty sender, or a faulty gauge. If it moves up, but not to the normal point, maybe the thermostat is stuck open.

What do you mean won't warm up?

Gauge wont go up?

Might be dead sensor.

The gauge moves, about two mm off of cold, and if I drive spirited around town with all shifts above 5500 the needle will raise up to 1/4th of the sweep, and from what I understand, that is the right temp for it to run. But on the HWY it never gets warm, that makes heater suck and makes it no fun to drive when the temp outside is 20deg. Thanks!

if you have a good radiator and removed the fan shroud it will do that.

I am never too warm on the hwy with my car. I'm going back to clutch fan and hopefully the shround will fix that.

Too much electrical drain on the system at idle. My FD alt got owned.
