My car was doing the exact same thing with the tiny misfires at idle and under a steady throttle.

It was then that I notice my spark plug wires was arcing on the leading plugs.
I changed the sparkplug wires and the idle is smoother, and the tiny misfires seems to only misfires once in a while rather then almost every 2 secs.

 

i have set the tps to exactly 1k ohm while on the car.

i believe my engine is misfiring badly and not passing smog due to the fact the oil control rings on the rotors are getting really bad, meaning it smokes bad on start up,

because of this i think i may need to rebuild the engine,

 

Also check the linkage from your OMP to the Throttle body..if it is Stuck Open it will inject Oil all the time and you will have High Hydrocarbon readings on the Emissions test.

Make sure you check your timing. Overadvanced timing will result in high HC.
