ok i'm driving the car and i push the gas and the rpm's just drop until the engine dies. i pull over and restart the car drive for like 15 minutes (light driving no boosting) and it dies again and won't start. go get the car this morning fires right up drive it home but its running pig rich. please help what could be wrong

Um, I have a similar problem. I've been searching and so far I think it's the bacv. I'll have to clean it this weekend to find out for sure though. Good luck. If you find that it's something other than the bacv, let me know. Thanks.

 

Get your FSM out, read the sensor inputs at the ECU with the key on, compare to specs given...

Could be a VERY clogged fuel filter...

 

I agree with checking the fuel filter. I had the same symptons on my 89 vert and have not had any problems since changing the filter.
