Exclamation Car has been sitting for 2 years

I bought an 89 TII with 89k miles off this board two years ago and had a lot of trouble getting the title since the seller was unproffesional. So, i've had the car sitting in a garage since then; the oil's 2 years old, the 100A fuse is broken (I cant figure out how to remove it from the casing; seems like ill have to take a wrench and take the whole fuse box apart... ?) What fluids should I replace and what other servicing should i perform before putting it back on the road?

thanks in advance

definately get rid of the old gas. if the car did not move for 2 years your tires might (and i say might) be flatspotted. does the engine run? have you tried to start it at all since the storage began? if not, you might have carbon lock. that could be easily fixed but it could be difficult, such as a rebuild.

Change all the fluids. Not necessarily because it's been sitting for 2 years, but it's also a good idea to have "fresh supplies" so to speak.

Yea i learned this too the hard way. If you look on either side of the box that the fuses are in theres a plastic flap, open that and remove the bolt in it( theres one on each side) then teh fuse will lift right out. Its decieving because it looks identical to the others which just pop right out. I destroyed mine figuring that out.

If it doesn't start you might be in a heap of trouble. Mine wasn't started in 8 years and the compression in the engine is done. 70psi=rebuild.

also, you might want to put some oil in the spark plug holes like the atf trick, but not atf just oil do that for each face of the rotor. let it sit for a few days then try to start it. i had an 89 n/a that sat for over 3 years, i had to pull it to get it started and it smoked like hell for about 30 min. now the car runs fine and gets diven almost every day. the engine had about 130k miles on it when i did this.

Got the fuses and the car is running. ABS fuse was missing for a long time too, i replaced it as well but the brake light stays on for some reason and the brakes themselves get hot enough to see smoke coming out from the rim... exhaust leak for all i know(and i dont dont much). Another problem occurs when im applying full throttle in 3-4th gear, my cars check engine light comes on around 6000 rpms and if i push the accelerator more than an inch the car just loses revs like its stuttering. If i restart the car, however, the problem ceases but generally occurs again. I can rev the engine in neutral still all the way to the red liine. So i'm thinking it has something to do with the buzzing transmission or perhaps the TPS that causes my idle problems?... the guy i bought it from said the cars ecu gaev him the TPS code for an error of sorts. Any idea whats causing the endless stutter?

Smoke comming from the brakes can also be caused by leaky callipers. Are you getting smoke from all four?

the back two for sure, and when i washed the car and sprayed the front wheels they started steaming. I'm really concerned about the stutter and i dread hearing 'rebuild'.

If you sprayed water on hot rotors right after driving it then the steams normal. I wouldnt do that everytime you wash it though or your going to warp your rotors. Next time let it sit a few minutes first, they cool down pretty quickly.
