the title made me think it was another flooded thread, but it was actually literally FLOODED
I would try 1st to make sure the engine isnt seized ( i doubt it is), you should b e able to turn it over with a wrench
Then check your starter solenoid, make sure you are getting 12V at the clip on the solenoid when you turn the key
If there is 12V, its probably a bad starter
If not, then somethings wrong with the electrical between the ignition and solenoid. check the haynes manual to trace it up to the ignition. could be a bad clutch engage sensor or something like that

ok so taday me and "janandaila" tried to fix the car...
we got the new starter on..the car turns-over..
but it still wont start, i took my timing light to check the ignition and the light didnt light up. and i though it was the problem so i went on the ahynes manual for reference, (he finally bought one, after i told him a million times to buy one cuz he's gonna need it) checked the ignition coil packs, and the crank angle sensor for resistance....
the crank angle sensor had good resistance (110 to 210 ohms) for both G's and NE's.
the ("leading?") coil by the batt. has 1ohm. i forgot what the value was for the trailing =/
so now i guess the coils work, the sensor works...but it still doesnt start =[....
the ecu seems to be dry when he opened it
anymore ideas? thanks

how bad was the flood? maybe the ecu is fried, its right down under the pass floorboard
to make sure its getting spark, just take out one of the plugs, connect it to the spark boot, hold it against the body, and see if you see spark when turning it over..
if its getting spark, i would make sure it is not flooded (fuel-wise):
1 pull lower plugs and egi fuse
2 turn over at wot for 10 seconds
3 add a little 2-stroke oil to lower spark plug holes
4 replace fuse and new plugs
5 try to start like normal
6 repeat if necessary

the flood was as high as the half of the wheel, the car has stock ride height..is using a timing light to check for saprk work ? if that will work then there is no spark...but yeah ill check if the engine is flooded

You're just trying to check for any spark at all?
you can pull a plug and hold it on the strut tower, still connected to the wire, then have someone crank it over to see if it's sparking or not.
Oh and the old "pull a fuse" trick won't work if the engine is severely flooded. You can try to push start it and pop the clutch (that usually works for me) or if that fails you need to put a small amount of automatic tranny fluid in the lower (leading) plug holes.
