Angry car dies after cranks

ok i pulled apart a running car and swapped rails injectors uim and lim performed rats nest removal and air pump removal reused stock grounds and redone fuel hoses used maf sens. off of other running car and injectors off of other car but it had a bad rear apex seal so thats y i swapped for those who are curious, and swapped oem fuel pump from old car . OK that being said now when i crank the car hit the gas or not it runs for maybe five seconds and dies and does this as many times as i try to crank it but wont stay runnin to the floor same problem. my first guess would be no fuel after startup like the pump quits.

thanks for any replies in advance, vato2000taco

Check that your AFM is connected properly and there's no leaks prior to it.

Also the fuel pump connector wire inside the AFM if it is hooked up properly. If the AFM is plugged in let us know and we will get you a diagram. A quick check for this if you jumper the fuel test connector wire on the passenger strut the car will run.

Was the electrical connector on the AFM when you had this problem?

Does the engine run now? with the elect connector on the AFM?

The ICEBLUE was suggesting that if the afm plug was on, and the engine won't stay running, that you should go to the yellow, two socket fuel pump check connector and then see if the engine will stay running.

Jumpering that yellow plug replicates the fuel switch in the afm *making*. Does the same thing is what I'm saying. All it does, or both of them do, is put a ground on one of the two coils in the Circuit Opening Relay to pull that relay in and make the fuel pump work.

The attached jpg shows the afm and the fuel pump switch inside it. You can see the BR and the B wires coming out of it going to the Circuit Opening Relay and ground #24 making the coil in the circuit opening relay pull in.

You can figure out if the switch internal to the afm is working just by turning the key to ON, and then pushing the vane in the afm aft at least a 1/8th inch or more. Pump should run like that. No jumper in the yellow connector required for that.
