Wow, posted in the wrong section the first time. Anyways, car hasn't had a problem in a long while, was running fine when I gave it a wash 3 days earlier. Go today, car cranks but won't start garage starts smelling of gas. I pull the egi for deflooding and then the car finally starts. However, there's a really bad smell and a metalic clanking every 2 secs or so, not much smoke, turned it off after 5 secs. Now oil pressure guage hasn't worked for over an year. Question is could the oil pump have died, and is it safe to restart it and just let it burn off the excess? The car is an S4 NA, though doubt that matters.

Seems my friend still has my hannes manual so can't really consult that atm.

 

ugh, nevermind, I pulled out the wrong fuse, I feel like an idiot.

 

Thats whe Rtek comes in handy, no need to pull fuses.
