I HAVE A 1988 MAZDA RX7 TURBO II THAT HAS A CRANKING PROBLEM. THE DAY BEFORE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH STAYED LIGHT HIGH TEMP. ,BATT,ETC. THEN I PARK THE CAR. THE FOLLOWING MORNING THE CAR WOULD CRANK, BUT NOT START. I PUT NEW PLUGS, WIRES, AND OPTIMA BATT PRIOR. I PUSHED AND POP CLUTCH. IT TRIED TO START BUT DIDN'T WORK. THE PREVIOUS OWNER NEVER
REPLACED IGNITION COIL PACKS. DO YOU THINK THAT COULD BE IT? OR STARTER, ETC.

 

Is your caps lock key broken?

Is it cranking fast? Slow? All the lights stayed on while driving?

You need to be more specific.

If all the lights were lit up, it probably was due to the alternator dying & the voltage dropping. If it was cranking slowly, it's probably flooded by now.

More info would REALLY help here. Preferably in proper capitalization.

jump start it, rev the other car, if it starts, then its either bad alternater, bad battery, or bad terminal connections
