Car Alarm Problem

Car Alarm Problem

My t2 his outside the car alarm is gone off 4 times in the past half hour. don't know why lite keeps blinking evry copuple of seconds after i reset it have checked all doors and hatch as well as hood to make sure evrey thing is closed????????

the light is supposed to flash every 3 seconds after the system is armed. as for the alarm going off.....dunno? bad alarm controller maybe?

This is the factory security system with the factory Orange panel indicator in the center consol, correct?

If so, then chances are either a sensor is wet (like the hatch/trunk if the rear drains are clogged) or the door latch sensor (what you lock the car with when sitting inside) is not fully in the locked position or out of adjustment

I'm puzzled here now for sure while I was posting it went off again went turned it off and grabbed a chair sat out watching it till just now didn't do a thing. Now the inside light isn't blinking at all as well as dosn't light when I lift on the handle. Did see a big *** raccoon walking around the car just before my brother inlaw came out. Might have been the culprit hard to say since this is the first day I've had the car out of winter storage. I'll still give the door sensor a look on the handle to see if it is sticking tommorow I think. Thanks for the controller sugestion got my brain thinking of how the system work and what is the most likly part to have a problem.
