car alarm killing my battery?

Aight guys....got my car alarm about a month ago and a few weeks later it started getting cold here in NC and I noticed my car did not like to cold start for anything. I replaced the battery and all was wonderful and great now it seems to be slowing down now a bit when it comes to cranking. What seemed to be a fully lively and energetic woman of a battery when cranking is now like middle aged Wisconsin woman with three kids and a Corolla. I heard the alarm can drain the battery, so if it is the alarm then what can I do to keepo this from happenning?

Improperlly installed aftermarket security systems could easily drain your battery down in a couple of days.

Do a current test to see for sure
