well, my FC is acting weird.

ok this is a weird problem, and it only seems to mess up when it has over a half a tank of gas. im thinking maybe that the cheap gas cap the last person put on it doesnt seal tight enough or something and it messes up when its above half a tank, ok symptoms.

the car will cut out during acceleration, like it stops getting gas for a brief moment.

the exhaust makes a WEIRD *** sound during WOT, especially from 2800-4000rpm, sounds nasty.

now, i know its not a rotor gone, because ive had 2 engine that have had one rotor dead and it is nothing like that, but i cant quite figure it out, everything seems to be in order, everything is hooked up, ive checked the TPS, just replaced the spark plugs 20 miles ago, all the plugs and wires are in the right places. if anyone can help please let me know what you think, or if you have had this problem before.

Could it be the intank strainer? Maybe it got clogged. That RPM range includes the area where some FC's get the hesitation could it be that?
