Car = Dead, help please.
Ok i was all excited to pick up my car from paint, and finally start driving it.
Ran fine most of the way, i stalled it a few times (just learning stick)
Then all of a sudden all of my lights in my idiot cluster came on, but if i turned the fan speed up, they would go off.
Got 1 block from my house, stalled it again, and the car is now totally dead. Nothing, no lights, no dash lights, no cranking.
I got a boost, it started up fine, once the cables were taken off it died again right away.
Now what could this be?
I know it is probably the alternator, but what can i check before that?

If it only runs when you get a jump, your battery is dead. There's only two things that can cause that with the symptoms you described.
1) It's old. batteries generally have about a 3-5 year shelf life (depending on brand/quality)
2) Alternator died, therefore, battery is not getting charge..
If you have a battery pack, maybe you can take it to a auto parts store if one's close, they'll do a free check to see if your battery is dead too, or just your alternator.
Either way, nothing too serious, you'll likely be up and running some time tomorrow
