can't take off coolant hose

can't take off coolant hose

hey, I'm trying to get the big coolant hose under the radiator off but it won't budge!
any tips?

the lower radiator hose? Flathead screwdriver and any kind of lubricant spray. Those ones have been pretty easy for me (upper and lower radiator hoses), heater core hoses are another story though!

yeah no **** heater core hoses suck.
Kouki- do you have the clamp off? If you are replacing the hose you could cut the existing one off.

Just pull really hard, or pry it off with a screw driver and silicon lubricant or something like that. Just be prepared to make a huge mess and have a lot of stuff stinky / sticky.

I've just used a big pair of channelocks on them, just grab it and rotate it to break the bond, then pull em off!
