what up. My friends pathfinder had this problem and it was the fuel filter but it might not be the same thing. But what is the coil packs and where/how can you check the compression? Also how do you know if the grounds are good and how do you check them? My brother installed a hyper-ground kit on his car and Its supposed to improve hp somhow but how would you check that? Thank you.

well, if its gobbling fuel like a bitch, sounds like you have a flooding/over-delivery problem. The secondaries come on around that range if im correct. Pull the codes, try to get some new compression numbers. If you use a piston compression tester, take both leading plugs out (bottom), and then when you are checking, hold the bleed button while cranking. You should have 3 even bursts of about 30+ psi. If you dont have 3, chances are an apex seal is gone. Then, if that checks out, check maximum compression by letting the maximum compression reach (dont hold the bleeder now) Check rotaryresurrection.com under tech for what the numbers mean. Anything under 90 is NOT good

hope that helped

yeah gonna do that today, Do 88 n/a suffer from MOP limp mode like the S5? alot of the parts on this car are s5 since it is in the middle the ECU is 327 which is S5 i believe.

No s4's do no suffer from limp mode when the OMP goes out. However, some people would say if your water thermosensor came loose behind the waterpump it would cause a feeling like limp mode on an S4.

nah....if it came loose it would run fine just a bit lean. but, if the water thermo sensor went bad it would run rich causing the engine to bog and flood itself. easy way to check if its the water thermo sensor is unplug it and see if you have the same problems. ive had 3 s4 n/a, 2 of them developed a problem as you described. once it was the tps and the other time it was a water thermo sensor. did you check for codes?

Could be...Check the security & cleanliness of your rear rotor housing ground first, unless you've already done that...Remember the boost sensor plays a pivotal role with the secondaries, also...
