Can't find out where this line goes?

Hello,

I am in the middle of a S5 TII to a S5 TII swap (First motor was toast.) I am about 95% done but can't find where this line goes (Vacum/Coolant.) Any help would be appreciated.

The line is exactly like I removed it from the other car (Gone now.) The line has foam protection and is softer than the other vacum lines. It leads me to believe that it is coolant or something, but what?

OK while I'm ready I wanted to share a picture of my new TID. It was an eBay buy that turned out pretty good with my updated Hybrid (T03/04) update.

That's a strange looking line.
Is that from a J-Spec engine?

Do you know what it connects to behind the engine?

The intake was a buy off eBay for $12.00 that was a 1990 - 1992 turbo intake pipe. As for the line I had the UIM off and maybe I misrouted the damn line?? It looks like it is close to where the cold assist system is located on the S4 turbo models. Is it located in the same place on the S5's?

Oh Yeah it is an American motor.

BTW: Link to my TID buy

That hose is pretty long, and I can't remember anything like that being in that position. If it's coolant, it could be for the heater - but I think your heater is already taken care of. If it's for the air pump/ACV/cat, it wouldn't have that foam insulation on it.

Looks like I might need to pull off the UIM to see what it is hooked up to. Just got the damn thing back on and now I have to tear it off again. I am in the middle of trying to get this machine back on the road.

I should have stayed with the old ugly black TII I had, but the body on this one is perfect (Just needs paint.)

Oh well live and learn. I never would have thought I would have picked up so much on a single car. I ended up completely tearing down the bad motor (Failed rear rotor that chewed up almost everything in it's wake.) But the new motor (New to this car) now has a hybrid turbo, 720's in the secondary rails, SAFC II, RB entire exhaust, and the new TID.

Thanks Again!!

Looks like this might be an excuse for me to rip out the "Rats Nest" under the UIM. I need to look and see who has the best write up for setting up my car. Since the S4 and S5 are a little diferrent I need to find one for a S5 TII retaining the stock ECU. If anyone has a good write up or know of a good link I would appreciate it. I looked @ the Czech site (Higgi) but it looks as if the TII motors are a little different (The radiator cap is hung off the water pump and not the radiator.) The pictires from the S5 Haltch installation are great BTW.

I found the hose after I pulled the UIM off. It is off the Sub-Zero Starting system. The hose is a million miles long, but says in the manual that connects back to the back of the UIM. I would really like someone to modify the factory manual print and state what lines should be capped off and what others should be routed.
