cant find any information on remove the subzero starting system....

cant find any information on remove the subzero starting system....

hi i am in the middle of painting/cleaning-up the engine bay and i cant seem to find any old post about removing them sub zero starting system i have the tank and every thing out but i am not sure about if leaving it out will be fine, will i just need to cap some vac hoses some were, i am in the south of alabama and it never gets cold enough for it to be used( -2 c* i belaeve)... point me in the right direction guys..

Step 1: Remove cold start resevoir by pulling it out and unplugging harness

Step 2: Remove hose from intake manifold

Step 3: Place vacuum cap over nipple in intake manifold that hose previously went to.

Step 4: You're done. If you no longer have your cruise control (or never had it) you can also unbolt and remove the bracket.

What is to say you can't make an alumunum blockoff for it? I did, haven't ran the car yet though.

That stupid valve should be blocked off with a plate.
boosted1205 found out it can leak and induce a vacuum leak.

I'm usually all about making blockoff plates since i got a band saw!!!!!!! BUT.. on that POS... I just globbed some JB weld in the hole on the LIM since you can't see it anyway!!!

thats Right... Old Decay, the main man to flame someone for doing something half assed.... did something half assed!!!!!!!

I used a blockoff plate as well, but it doesn't sound like the original poster is interested in that. Otherwise, he would have just made the plate and not asked. Frankly, instead of pissing around with blockoff plates, just have the two little holes welded up.
