can you put anything on black paint to help keep it from scratching?
im looking to go with black in about a month, but i need to know is there anything like clearcoat that can be put on it to give it some protection from scratches?
yea i believe its called like APC or something ill find out tommorow and let you know... my friend has it on his Audi S4 and its like a clear plastic protectant and it keeps it from scratching and if you was your car all you need is water and dry it... although i think he said he paid around 400 - 500 for it but its worth it... dont scratch, washing car is easy, and keeps the paint from fading...
i have heard of some thing like that they offer to spray on brand new cars now days, at least my freinds rx-8 had the option to get something sprayed on to make the paint "wear resistant"
aadding more coats of clear will keep it more scratch resistant, or well it will give more room for slack if a stratch does occur so u will have a better chance of being able to buff it out.
cheap paint jobs dont apply very many coats of clear!!!ao if you want a good thick clear coat your paint job could cost around 1000 dollars or more!!!
dont get a mayco job! lol
